Covers the basics of writing a resume, do’s and don’ts, and tailoring your resume for different job applications.

Introduction to LinkedIn, the professional social networking site; how to create and maintain a profile; how to utilize LinkedIn to network and find jobs.

Interview Studio

Our fresh take on the best interview practices. Learn the do’s and don’ts of interviewing while getting hands-on practice.

Become a Career Champion

Our Career Champion network brings career education to every aspect of career education to the Seawolf community. SSU faculty, staff, and alumni Career Champions answer career questions, make referrals, share resources, and mentor young Seawolves into a successful career. Career Champions empower students to find purpose, identify and reach career goals, solidify future plans, gain employment, or prepare for graduate school. Career Champions is an innovative program catered to developing the connection between a students’ academic experience and their future career paths.

Consult with Us

There are many ways you can build career readiness competencies into your courses, assignments, and more! We would love to consult with you, provide resources, and/or brainstorm about ways we can support you.  Several resources are available for faculty that can be easily incorporated into your courses as assignments or for extra credit, including our Focus2Career tool.

Professional Development Request

 As career advocates and resources on campus, our professional staff often get requests for support. We love supporting our community members as time permits, but please keep in mind that our students career education and success is the first priority. Please note that when you make these requests it is personal in nature and we may need to decline if our schedule is already full.
